This website offers one-time participation in The 1 Cent Millionaire Experiment. You choose a contribution between €0.01 and €1,000.00. After confirmation, your cents are added to the public counter and assigned a numbered range and contribution page. There is no subscription, shipping, physical product, investment, prize or financial return.
Offer and price
A contribution is voluntary, one-time participation in this internet experiment. You choose the exact amount before paying, from €0.01 up to €1,000.00. One euro adds 100 experiment cents after confirmation.
For iDEAL, the amount shown before checkout is the amount charged in euros; this website adds no separate fee. An EURe wallet may show a separate blockchain network fee, which is not received by the experiment.
What you receive
After a confirmed contribution, the website assigns a cent number or consecutive cent range, updates the public counter and creates a contribution page that can be shared. These are acknowledgements of participation only.
A contribution does not buy ownership of a cent, the website or the money raised. It is not a charitable donation, investment, loan, lottery, prize competition or promise of a reward or financial return.
Payment and confirmation
iDEAL payments are processed in euros by Mollie. EURe contributions are processed on the Base blockchain. A contribution is complete only after the relevant payment provider or network confirms it. Pending, cancelled, expired or failed payments do not move the counter.
The amount you approve is shown before payment. There are no recurring payments or subscriptions.
Timing and technical errors
The numbered cents and contribution page are normally created automatically shortly after payment confirmation. Nothing is shipped. A payment provider, bank or blockchain network can cause delays outside the website’s control.
If a confirmed payment is not recorded correctly, or you believe the same payment was recorded twice, contact the experiment with the payment or contribution reference so it can be investigated and corrected.
The experiment and its goal
The €1,000,000 target is the subject of the experiment, not a guaranteed outcome or deadline. The experiment may end before reaching it. If that happens, the creator keeps the confirmed amount collected up to that point, after required refunds, reversals, payment costs, operating costs and taxes.
Not reaching the target, changing the duration or ending the experiment does not by itself create a right to a refund.
Cancellations and refunds
You can stop at any time before authorising payment. Once a voluntary contribution is confirmed and the numbered cents have been assigned, it is generally final. Refunds may be made for verified payment or technical errors and where required by applicable law or the payment provider.
Nothing in these terms removes cancellation, refund, chargeback or other consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. To request a review, use the contact details below and include the contribution or payment reference.
Public information and messages
The amount, numbered cent range, confirmation date and contribution page are public. You can appear as Anonymous or choose to publish a display name and country. A Wall of Fame message is optional.
Public messages may be hidden if they are unlawful, abusive, misleading, contain links or interfere with the website. Hiding a message does not reverse the underlying confirmed contribution. The Privacy Notice explains what is stored and published.
Questions, complaints and applicable rights
Questions, complaints and refund reviews can be sent to privacy@1cent-millionaire.com. Include the contribution ID or payment reference, but never send banking credentials, a wallet seed phrase or private key.
These terms are governed by Dutch law where that choice is permitted. Mandatory rights under the law applicable to you remain unaffected. The version shown at the time of your contribution applies to that contribution.
